K-pop에 대한 연구 동향 분석

Analysis of Research Trends on K-pop: Focused on Research Papers from 2011 to 2018

2000년대 후반의 가장 주목할 만한 키워드 중 하나는 K-Pop일 것이다. 1990년대 후반 한류 열풍을 토대로 지속되고 발전되어 왔던 K-Pop은 일상에서 보편적이면서도 새로운 문화를 형성하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 2010년부터 2018년까지 발행된 K-pop에 대한 학술 논문들을 다섯 가지 범주로 구분하였다. 그리고 가장 많은 연구가 이루어진 ‘사회’, ‘문화’, ‘교육’ 의 세 분야를 중심으로 다각도의 분석을 시도하였다. 이에 따라 도출된 결과는 다음과 같았다. 사회분야의 연구는 지역적 특성을 고려한 연구가 상대적으로 많이 이루어지지 않았으며, 앞으로 국가별 문화적 배경을 바탕으로 K-Pop의 수용에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 문화 분야에 대해서는 새롭게 발생하는 현상에 중점을 두고 연구가 진행되기를 바라며, 교육 분야에서는 K-pop 가사와 언어에 집중되어있던 연구가 다른 분야로 확산되기를 제안한다. 본 연구를 통해 K-pop이 갖는 의미가 매우 중층적이라는 점과 한국의 문화가 이질적인 환경 속에서 수용되며 발생할 수 있는 현상들이 다양함을 다시 한 번 인식하게 되었다. 여러 논의들을 통해 다양한 분야의 전문가들이 인문학적 베이스를 기본으로 하는 K-pop에 대한 통합적 연구를 펼쳐주기를 기대한다.

One of the most popular key words from the late 2000s would be K-pop. K-pop, which is based on the Korean Wave of the late 1990s, is cultivating a new universal daily life culture. This paper divides the academic papers on K-pop published from 2010 to 2018, into five categories and tries to conduct a multi-directional analysis of three areas sociality, culture, and education in which most of the studies were conducted. The results are as follows: there is no research on sociality in many studies, considering the regional characteristics, and further research on the acceptance of K-pop based on the cultural background of each country is needed. In the field of culture, I hope that further research will be conducted with a focus on new phenomenon. Previous studies in the field of the education have focused on lyrics and languages. I suggest that future research should expand the scope of the subject. Through this study, I have come to recognize that K-pop is multilayered, Korean culture is accepted in a heterogeneous environment, and that the phenomena that can occur are. Through various discussions, I hypothesize that experts from diverse fields will conduct an integrated and humanistic research on K-pop.
