Yi Sang put the composition of the artistic and physical particles created by the poetic language on the stage called “Ogamdo.” This is an independent scene composed of poetic language, like a stage set, rather than a real-life scene. It is also not a reenactment of facts, but another internally fictionalized entity and an event that unfolds on the stage of reconstructing history. The stage of the poem is a visual language, such as “scenography,” which is multi-layers and dynamic. So the painting “Ogamdo” is a kind of Sinography. Yisang dynamically expressed the look of the reversal and the disparate and imitation reality through time; by visualizing a poetic space independent of image, object, and materiality of language by literary conversion of pictorial sense or pictoriality, by securing the presentity of poetic language with poetic subject and narrative prose that crosses reality and work, and by creatively fusing Eastern humanities and Western art expression theory.
