보육교사의 직무환경이 영유아권리 존중보육에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Childcare Teachers Job Environment on the Respect for Infant Rights: Focused on the Mediating Effects of Emotional Intelligence

본 연구는 보육교사의 직무환경, 정서지능, 영유아권리 존중보육간의 관계를 확인하고, 직무환경과 영유아권리 존중보육의 관계에 정서지능이 어떠한 역할을 하는지에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 부산시에 소재한 어린이집에 근무하는 교사 452명으로부터 수집한 자료를 대상으로 상관분석과 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 또한, 보육교사의 직무환경과 영유아권리 존중보육의 관계에 정서지능이 매개변인으로서 역할을 하는지 알아보기 위하여 Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 매개효과 검증절차에 따라 위계적 회귀분석 후 통계적 검증을 위한 Sobel Test를 실시하였다. 자료 분석 결과 첫째, 보육교사의 직무환경이 하위 변인 중 운영 및 의사결정 참여만 영유아권리 존중보육에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 정서지능은 사고촉진을 제외한 모든 하위변인들은 영유아권리 존중보육에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 정서지능은 직무환경과 영유아권리 존중보육의 관계에 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과가 영유아를 위한 권리존중 보육실행에 있어, 보육교사의 직무환경과 정서지능을 향상시키는데 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the job environment, emotional intelligence, and respect for the rights of infants and toddlers of childcare teachers, and to examine the role of emotional intelligence in the relationship between job environment and respect for the rights of infants and toddlers.,For this purpose, the data collected from 452 teachers working at daycare centers in Busan were analyzed through correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis.,In addition, in order to examine whether emotional intelligence plays a role as a mediating variable in the relationship between the job environment of childcare teachers and respect for infants and toddlers rights, Sobel Test was conducted for statistical verification after hierarchical regression analysis according to Baron and Kenny s mediating effect verification procedure.,As a result of data analysis, first, only the operation and decision-making participation of the sub-variables of the job environment of the childcare teachers had an effect on the respect for the rights of infants and young children.,Second, the emotional intelligence of childcare teachers had an effect on respect for infant and child rights by all sub-variables except for the promotion of thinking.,Third, emotional intelligence had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between job environment and respect for infants and toddlers rights.,The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data to improve the working environment and emotional intelligence of childcare teachers in the practice of respecting rights for infants and young children.
