Exploring the Picture Book Meaning Composition Process of Children in Nanum Class

본 연구는 해석공동체인 누리 유치원 나눔반 유아들의 다양한 장르의 그림책 함께 읽기 상황에서 나타나는 유아들의 반응을 바탕으로 그림책 의미구성 과정이 어떠한지를 탐색하는 것이다. 본격적인 그림책 함께 읽기 활동이 시작되기 전 2018년 4월 6일과 9일 2회에 걸쳐 래포 형성을 위한 시간을 가졌으며, 자료 수집은 2018년 4월 16일부터 2018년 6월 29일까지 총 13회기동안 나눔반 교사와 유아들이 다양한 장르의 그림책을 함께 읽어나가는 과정에 대한 참여관찰과 면담을 통해 이루어졌다. 연구결과, 나눔반 유아들의 그림책 의미구성 과정은 그림책 텍스트와 즐겁게 조우하기, 그림책 속 등장인물과 동행하기, 그림책 해석을 위한 나의 자원 공유하기, 우리들만의 이야기 펼치기로 나타났다. 본 연구는 유아교육현장에서 이루어지는 그림책 읽기 활동의 사례와 이에 대한 깊은 이해를 제시함으로써 학급을 개별 유아들의 삶의 경험과 해석 전략이 공유되고, 다채롭고 풍요로운 의미 구성의 장으로써 폭넓게 바라도록 이끄는 데 기초자료가 될 수 있을 것이다. 아울러 현대 유아문학교육의 방향을 위한 큰 그림을 그리는 단초로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study explores the meaning of picture book semantics based on children s reactions of Nuri Kindergarten Nanum class as an interpretive community in reading situations with picture books of various genres. Before the full-blown picture book-reading activities began, I had two times to form a rappo on April 6 and 9, 2018. The data was collected through observations and interviews on the process of sharing class teachers and preschoolers reading picture books of various genres in a total of 13 sessions from April 16, 2018 to June 29, 2018. As a result, the process of constructing the meaning of picture book among the children of sharing class was found to have fun encounter with picture book text, to accompany characters in picture book, to share my resources for picture book interpretation, and to unfold our own story. This study presents examples of picture book reading activities in early childhood education and a deeper understanding of them, thereby leading the class to broadly hope that the experiences and interpretation strategies of each child s life will be shared, and that they will be a place of diverse and enriching meanings.
