This study explores the risks of Vietnam travel perceived by Korean college students. First of all, it identifies the perceived risks of Vietnam travel. It also analyzes the effect of perceived risks on the intention to travel to Vietnam. Finally, it attempted to investigate the moderating effect of gender on between perceived risks and travel intention. For the study, data were collected from Korean college students who do not have any experience in Vietnam travel. The 174 valid responses of questionnaires were used for the empirical analysis with the help of SPSS 25.0. As a result of factor analysis on perceived risks about Vietnam travel, four factors are derived into physical risk, financial risk, political risk, and social risk. An analysis of the effect of perceived risk on travel intention has shown that physical risk, financial risk, political risk excluding social risk, has a significant effect on travel intention. The results also indicate that gender moderated the relationship among physical risk, political risk and travel intention. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed in the conclusion.
