A Study on Tourism Awareness of Jeju Island using Online Buzz: Focused on Informers and Users

본 연구는 제주도 페이스북 팬 페이지를 중심으로 관광 정보 제공자와 콘텐트 구성 및 전달 방식에 따른 수용자 반응 및 표현을 통해 정보 도달 적합성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 구체적으로 공공기관과 민간이라는 정보 제공자 간 펜 페이지 운영 방식과 콘텐트 구성 차이에 따른 수용자의 반응을 지표를 통한 내용분석과 텍스트 마이닝과 의미망 분석을 통해 검증하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 좋아요, 공유, 댓글 수 등의 지표를 분석하여 정보 제공자의 콘텐트 전달 방식에 따른 수용자의 정보에 대한 반응의 차이를 확인할 수 있었다. 하향식의 일방적인 정보 전달 콘텐트보다 영상과 여행 후기 위주의 콘텐트가 수용자의 관심을 끌었다. 둘째, 두 정보 제공자의 인기 콘텐트의 수용자의 반응 정도를 비교한 결과 관광지 소개에 집중한 콘텐트가 수용자의 지인을 불러들이는 태깅 행위를 통해 확산하는 모습이 나타났다. 이 연구를 통해 구전과 평판이 중요한 관광에서 수용자의 주목도를 높일 수 있는 콘텐트의 형식과 내용을 파악했다는 데 의의가 있다. 후속연구를 통해 콘텐트에 따른 수용자의 감성 차이 정도를 비교해 정교한 관광 정보 전달 전략 수립에 도움이 될 것을 기대한다.

This study aimed to examine users’ different responses along the informers on tourism and the content composition, focusing on two Facebook fan pages related to Jeju Island, with the relevance of informing. In specific, the different operational methods and contents of the Fan Page between public institutions and private informers and the users’ responses were verified by the analyses on contents and semantic network. As a result, first, the users’ different responses to the informers’ content delivering methods were seen by analyzing the index such as the number of like, share, and comment. The video and review-oriented contents attracted the users’ attention than unilateral top-down informing contents. Second, in the comparison of the users’ responses to the two informers’ popular contents, introducing tourist attractions were spread by the tagging, which summons the acquaintances of users. This study is significant that the contents and its formats to increase users’ attention in tourism where WOM and reputation are crucial were found. It is expected the follow-up study will contribute to establish elaborate strategies for tourism informing as comparing the acceptors’ different sensitivities along the contents.
