구약성서에 나타난 종말

Apocalypse in the Old Testament

본 글은 구약성서에 나타난 종말을 연구하였다. 종말(eschatology)이란 말은 “마지막 일들에 관한 가르침”으로 19세기 교의신학 분야에서 본격적으로 사용되기 시작하였다가 다른 분야에서도 사용된 용어다. 본 글은 신약성서와의 관계를 의식하고 그리고 구약성서에서 종말은 한번에 이루어지지 않고 점차적으로 발전되어 왔다는 전제를 가지고 연구를 진행하였다. 구약성서의 종말은 신약성서와의 종말과는 달리 신약성서에서 기대하고 성취되었다고 하여 종말의 역사적인 형성과정을 밝히고자 하였다. 이와 관련해 죽음과 부활이라는 개인적인 종말과 국가와 우주의 종말에 관하여 서술하였다. 에스겔, 스가랴, 이사야, 학개를 다루었고, 특히 다니엘서에 나타난 종말을 자세히 다루었다. 기독교는 구약성서에서 기다렸던 종말이 예수 그리스도 안에서 성취되었다고 이해한다. 종말신앙은 종말 이후를 바라만 보는 것이 아니라, 종말이 오기까지의 사람을 풍성하게 믿음으로 살도록 돕기 위함이다.

This paper studied the end of the Old Testament. The term “eschatology” is a “teaching about the last days” that began to be used in the 19thcentury doctrinal theology and later spread to other fields. Being conscious of the relationship with the New Testament, the study was conducted on the premise that the end of the Old Testament was not developed at once but was gradually developed. The end of the Old Testament, unlike the end with the New Testament, was expected and fulfilled in the New Testament. In this regard, I have described its historical process of formation on Apocalypse and personal end as one’s death and resurrection and also the end of the nation and universe. It was dealt with the book of Ezekiel, Zechariah, Isaiah, Haggai, and in particular, Daniel in detail. Christianity understands that the end that the Old Testament was waiting for was fulfilled in Jesus Christ. The faith of Apocalypse is not just looking after the end, but to help people live abundantly in faith until the end comes.
