교사의 창의적 교수행동이 초등학생의 창의성 및 학업성취에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Teachers’ Creative Teaching on Elementary School Students’ Creativity and Academic Achievement

본 연구에서는 초등학교 교사의 창의적 교수행동이 학생의 창의성과 학업성취에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지와 이러한 영향이 성별 및 개인이 가진 학업에 대한 흥미 수준에 따라 달라지는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울교육종단연구2010 자료 중 초등학교 4학년 패널 자료를 활용하였으며, 자료의 내재성을 고려하여 다층모형 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 교사의 창의적 교수행동은 학생의 창의성을 높이는 데에는 긍정적이었으며, 교사의 창의적 교수행동의 긍정적인 효과에 있어 성별, 흥미에 따른 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 창의성과 달리, 학업 성취의 경우에는 교사의 창의적 교수행동의 긍정적인 효과가 나타나지 않았으며, 성별, 흥미에 따른 수준 간 상호작용 효과 또한 유의하지 않았다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 초등학생의 창의성 및 학업성취를 높이기 위한 실질적인 교수 및 평가방법과 교실 환경 조성 방안 등에 대해 논의하였다.

The aim of this study was to analyze how elementary school teachers creative teaching affects students creativity and academic achievement and whether these effects were different according to the students gender and interest. Fourth-grade students data in Seoul Education Longitudinal Study (SELS) was analyzed. Considering the data structure which the students data are nested within their teachers, multilevel analysis was performed. The results showed that elementary school teachers creative teaching positively affected their students creativity, and this effect did not differ by students gender and their interest. Contrary to the positive effect on creativity, there was no positive effect of teachers creative teaching on academic achievement, and interaction effects with students gender and their interest were not significant. Based on the results of this study, practical teaching-evaluation methods and positive classroom climate building plans for developing elementary school students creativity and academic achievement were discussed.
