A Study on the Impact of Differentiated Incentives on the Performance of Core Employees in China’s Multinational Corporations

In the process of rapid development of behavioral economics, for an enterprise, core employees occupy an important position. Implementing differentiated incentives for these employees can help the enterprise to obtain more benefits and promote the sustainable development of the enterprise. In order to explore the impact of differentiated incentives on core employee performance, this paper puts forward hypotheses based on the analysis of differentiated incentives on employee performance, and constructs structural equation model according to the influencing factors. Through questionnaire survey, 262 questionnaires were analyzed. The results show that security incentives, short-term incentives, long-term incentives and job autonomy have positive effects on core employees, which proves that differentiated incentives have significant positive effects on core employees’ performance, and it has important reference value for enterprises to better motivate core employees. Therefore, each commander and manager must conduct more official communications rather than unofficial in order to effectively manage the organization and to achieve organization s goal. Also, they need to give orders and tasks based on individuals job responsibilities or functions and once those tasks are completed an appropriate compensation should be given. Ultimately, they need to put their efforts on reducing work related stresses among unit members for an effective coordination.
