미래교육을 위한 역량기반 교육과정 적용방안 연구

A Study on the Application Method for the competence-based curriculum: Focused on The Gyeongnam Elementary School

본 연구는 경남지역 초등학교 교사들을 대상으로 역량기반 교육과정이 교실수준으로 재구성되어 실현되는 역량기반 교육과정 설계와 적용방안을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경남 소재 초등학교 5곳 8명의 교사와 학교 관리자의 면담, 수업관찰 및 역량기반 교육과정 사례 분석을 통해 자료 수집을 하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 역량기반 교육과정 설계의 원리와 운영절차를 발견할 수 있었다. 둘째, 역량기반 교육과정의 교실수준 설계 유형을 분석 할 수 있었다. 셋째, 역량기반 교육과정의 실천 내용으로 역량기반 교육과정 재구성, 수업, 평가의 실천 내용을 분석 할 수 있었다. 넷째, 역량기반 교육과정의 긍정적 효과를 분석할 수 있었다. 다섯째, 역량기반 교육과정의 고려사항을 분석할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 역량기반 교육과정의 정착을 위해 역량기반 교육과정의 교실수준 설계를 담은 자료집 개발, 교사의 교육과정 운영 자율성을 등이 연계될 필요가 있음을 제시하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was for teachers of elementary schools in Gyeongnam Province to identify the design and application of competency-based curriculum that was reorganized to the classroom level. For the research issues, this study conducted a qualitative case study by selecting eight teachers who practice competency-based curriculum from five elementary schools in Gyeongnam Province. Also this study collected the data over 6 months through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and analyzed the cases of competency-based curriculum. The results of research problem were as the follows: First, Common principles based on curriculum design and operating procedures were found. Second, Three design types of the competency-based curriculum were found. Third, it was possible to analyze the contents of the curriculum reconstruction, lessons, and assessment by implementing the competency-based curriculum. Fourth, it was possible to analyze the positive effects of the competency-based curriculum. Fifth, it was able to analyze the difficult issues of the competency-based curriculum. Based on these findings, this study suggests that the development of a workbook containing a classroom-level design of a competency-based curriculum, and the autonomy of teachers to operate the curriculum should be followed.
