The Effect of Self-Hair Method and pursuit Benefits on Self-Hair Preference

  • 67

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of methods and benefits sought for self-hair care on self-hairdressing preference and provide useful data. For this a total of 433 questionnaires were distributed, and 417 copies were used for final analysis. For data analysis, SPSS 22.0 was adopted, and the results found the followings: Regarding the effects of methods and benefits sought for self-hair care on self-hairdressing preference, ‘hair care’, ‘hairstyling’ and ‘use of tools’ revealed a statistically significant influence. In terms of benefits sought for self-hair care on self-hairdressing preference, ‘personality-seeking’ and ‘trend-seeking’ showed a significant effect. In other words, as ‘hair care’, ‘hairstyling’ and ‘use of tools’ become more frequent, self-hairdressing preference improves. In addition, as ‘personality-seeking’ and ‘trend-seeking’ increased, self-hairdressing preference was higher. Regarding self-hair care methods, consumers preferred hairstyling and ‘personality-seeking’ to ‘trend-seeking’. Based on the above results, it’s anticipated that beauty salons would be able to increase sales by suggesting hairstyling and hair-caring methods and recommending decent products to consumers and gaining trust from them.
