본 연구의 목적은 ICALT 수업관찰도구가 국내 초·중등학교 교사의 수업전문성 측정에 적합한지를 검증하고, ICALT 수업관찰도구를 이용한 학교급 간 교사의 수업전문성 측정의 타당성을 검증하는 것이다. 연구를 위해 확인적 요인분석, Rasch 측정모형, 그리고 차별기능 문항(Differential Item Functioning) 분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과 ICALT 수업관찰도구는 첫째, 각 문항이 해당되는 수업전문성 영역의 구성개념을 잘 표상하고 있다. 둘째, 수업관찰전문가가 교사의 수업전문성 행동을 측정하면서 교사의 극단적인 수업행동반응에 의해서 문항이 해당하는 수업전문성의 구성개념을 표상하지 못할 가능성은 작게 나타났다. 셋째, 교사가 속한 수업전문성 영역을 평가하기에 적합한 문항으로 구성된 검사로 나타났다. 다섯째, 4점 척도를 사용하는 것과 각 척도의 지시사항이 적절하였다. 마지막으로, 일부 수업전문성 영역에서 학교급 간에 차별적으로 기능하는 문항이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 상대적으로 차별적 기능을 일으키는 중요 원인에 관한 연구와 차별적 기능 문항이 학교급 간 교사의 수업전문성 비교 연구에 미치는 영향을 최소화할 수 있도록 문항에 관한 내용분석 연구가 필요한 것으로 보인다.
The purpose of this study is to verify whether the ICALT class observation tool is suitable for measuring the teaching expertise of elementary and secondary school teachers in Korea and the validity of measuring the teaching expertise of teachers between school levels using ICALT tool. For the study, confirmatory factor analysis, Rasch measurement model, and differential item functioning were used. As the results of this study, first, ICALT tool represents the composition of the teaching expertise that each question corresponds to. Second, as the class observer measures the teaching behavior, it is less likely that he/she could not measure the components of the relevant teaching expertise by the extreme teacher’s behavior. Third, ICALT tool is composed of questions suitable for evaluating the current level of teaching expertise. Fourth, the four-point scale and the instructions of each scale is appropriate. Finally, there are questions that functioned differentially between school levels in some of the areas of teaching expertise. Therefore, it seems that research into the major causes of relatively differential function and the study of content analysis about the questions to minimize the effect of differential function items on the comparative study of teaching expertise between school levels are needed.
