핵심역량 기반 교양교육과정에서의 진로교육 현황 분석

The Analysis of Career Curriculum of General Education based on Core Competences at University

본 연구는 교양교육과정을 통하여 진로 관련 교과목을 수강한 학생들을 대상으로 진로관련 역량들이 어느 정도 성취되어지고 향상되어지는 지를 분석하고자 하였다. 연구를 위하여 P 대학교에서 2015학년도 2학기 교양교과목 수강자 2,056명을 대상으로 12~13주차에 오프라인 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 학생의 개인 배경을 포함하여 설문의 목적 및 내용에 대한 개요 등을 포함하는 설문지를 강의시간에 직접 배포하고 응답하도록 하였으며, 설문지는 진로계획 및 관련 교과목 수강 빈도, 진로 역량의 하위 요인, 실행 정도, 성취 정도에 대한 설문 9개 문항과 응답자의 인구통계학적 자료(성별, 나이, 전공)를 수집하기 위한 4개 문항으로 총 13개 문항으로 구성하였다. 분석 결과, 대학의 핵심역량 중 진로 역량과 관련있는 하위 9개의 요인 가운데 ‘정보기술활용능력’과 ‘외국어 능력’이 가장 필요한 역량이라고 응답하였으며, 교육과정안에서 ‘자기관리능력’과 ‘인성’, ‘정보기술활용능력’ 순으로 중요하게 다루어진다고 응답하였다. 대학 교육을 통한 진로 관련 역량 향상과 관련하여 ‘정보기술활용능력’이 가장 높게 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 학생들이 중요하다고 인식하는 진로 관련 요인들을 고려한 교양교육과정의 재구조화를 통해 전주기적인 교육이 이루어질 수 있도록 고려할 필요가 있으며, 또한 진로관련 교과목과 비교과 프로그램이 상호 연계되어 실행될 수 있도록 유관부서들과의 협력 체제에 대한 보완이 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance and achievement of career competency of the undergraduate students by taking the career-related subjects of general education course in P University. The participants of this study were 2,056 students who took the career-related subjects of the general education course in the 2015 fall term. After taking the subjects, the survey asked students their opinions on career planning, course frequency, sub-factors of career capacity, achievements, improvements and important degrees of career competence. The questionnaire consisted of 13 items. The results for a major factor of improving career competency showed that ‘capability using information technology’ and ‘global capability’ had higher than other capabilities. The students said that self-management capability is dealing with important in the curriculum. The analysis of achievement had higher results in ‘capability using information technology’ than other capabilities. Through this research, it is necessary to consider the re-structuring of general education curriculum considering career-related factors that students perceive as important, so that all-round education can be done. Also, It is necessary to complement the cooperation system with related departments.
