대학 글쓰기 수업에서의 표기와 표현 교육 내용 구성에 관한 연구

‌A Study on the education of the notation and the expression in writing class

본고에서는 대학 글쓰기 수업에서 사용되는 교재를 검토하여 표기와 표현 교육이 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지 현황을 살펴보고, 글쓰기 교육과정 내에서 표기와 표현에 대한 교육을 어떠한 방식으로 진행해야 하는지를 모색해 보았다. 어문 규정 및 어휘 선택, 문장 구성 등 표기와 표현에 관련된 교육 내용이 교재에 어떻게 반영되었는지 분석한 결과, 대부분의 교재에서 해당 내용을 자주 틀리거나 혼동하기 쉬운 유형별로 사례나 연습문제를 제시하는 방식을 취하고 있었고, 잘못된 표기나 표현을 정확하게 고치는 연습을 통해 내용을 이해하도록 유도하고 있었다. 이러한 오류 수정 중심의 교육은 학생들의 실질적인 글쓰기 과정에서 적용하기 어려움이 많고 단발성 교육으로 끝날 우려가 있다. 또한 표현과 표기 교육을 글쓰기의 절차나 과정에 대한 교육과 분리된 경우가 많아 교육 내용 간의 연계가 부족하고 교육 효과를 지속하기 어렵다. 글쓰기 수업에서 표기와 표현에 대한 교육 시간이 2주에서 3주로 제한된다는 점은 이러한 문제를 더욱 심화시킨다. 그러므로 한정된 시간 내에 글쓰기 수업에서 표기와 표현에 대한 교육의 효과를 높이기 위해서는, 교육 내용의 선정, 교육 내용의 구성 및 체계, 교육 자료의 제시 방법, 교수자의 교육 자료 활용 방법 등의 개선이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to survey the contents construction of the notation and the expression in textbooks used in university writing courses, and to suggest methods to perform effective education. The part of the notation and expression mainly consists of examples that many student make habitually mistakes and exercises to correct error. But a detailed explanation about the fundamental principles is insufficient. It is because that a part of the notation and expressions is limited one or two weeks in the course of writing education. But Accuracy is of paramount importance in writing, and teaching about notation and expression is efficient to improve writing ability. S to raise effect of education within limited hours, and last longer, it is necessary to improve on the contents construction and teaching methods for the notation and the expression.
