초·중등교장 직무연수 발전방안 연구

A Study on the Development of In-Service Training for Primary and Secondary School Principals: Focusing on Educational Administration Leader’s Program Experience

학교장은 학교 전반의 운영은 물론 교육의 방향을 결정하는 중추적인 역할을 한다. 때문에 학교장은 변화하는 시대적 요구와 학생들의 특성을 이해하고 이에 적합한 교육을 제공하기 위하여 지속적인 연수를 통해 전문성을 향상시켜 나가야 한다. 이러한 필요성에도 불구하고, 현직 교장에게 제공되는 직무연수는 특정 행정능력에 제한되거나 초등과 중등교육현장의 차이를 반영하고 있지 못한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 현직 교장의 직무연수 참여경험을 바탕으로 초등과 중등교장의 직무연수 요구를 구분하여 향후 직무연수의 발전방향을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 S대학교 교육행정지도자과정 직무연수를 이수한 46명의 초 중등교장을 대상으로 면담을 실시하였으며, 텍스트 네트워크분석을 활용하여 초등과 중등교장의 자료를 분석하고 결과를 제시하였다. 분석결과, 직무연수에 대한 초등교장과 중등교장의 참여경험은 상이하게 나타났으며, 분석된 집단별 차이를 바탕으로 향후 직무연수의 발전방안에 대해 논하였다.

School principals play a pivotal role in managing the school overall and determining educational direction. Therefore, ongoing professional development is required for school principals to meet the changing needs of each generation of students and provide appropriate education. However, the in-service training provided to school principals is limited to certain administrative skills and does not reflect the differences between primary and secondary school. The purpose of this study is to analyze the different needs of primary and secondary school principals regarding in-service training and explore future directions based on their experience participating in in-service training. Interviews were conducted with 46 principals who completed Educational Administration Leader’s program at S university. Text network analysis was used to analyze and present the data. The results showed the differences in needs between primary and secondary principals and based on the differences future directions were discussed.
