조형예술의 기초교육을 위한 발상

Thinking of The Formative Arts for General Education

전인 교육을 위한 조형예술기초교육에서, 지식과 정보의 양을 늘리기 식의 편향된 이론적 인식으로 구체적인 탐구과정 없이 선언적인 차원에서 그치는 경향은 존재 지향적 교육의 폐해를 야기할 수 있다. 본 연구는 교양교육으로서의 조형예술교육이 지니는 의미와 역할을 바탕으로 하여 현시대의 문화적 키워드인 창의성과 상상력, 즉 조형적 발상에 대해 연구해 보고자 하였다. 급속히 변화하는 지식과 상황에 유연하게 대처하기 위한 스스로 지식과 사고를 습득할 수 있도록 조형예술에서의 통합적 교육이 이루어져야 하며, 이를 통해 언어적 표현, 심미적 감성, 가치 판단력, 비판적 사고, 자기 정체성 등을 형성하는데 의의가 있다. 다문화 시대에 미술의 장르적 와해로 오는 현대조형예술의 패러다임의 변화를 조형 활동의 창조적 개념과 연관 지어 감수성 교육을 통하여 문화·사회적 소통과 참여를 위함은 예술 교육의 중요한 위치를 강조한다고 할 수 있겠다. 지각을 통한 감정의 형성과 감수성은 미적 상상력을 통해서 나타나는 것으로, 현실의 재구성을 주도하는 힘으로서의 상상력을 조형적 발상으로의 전환으로 탐구하여 본질적·사회적 측면에서 조형예술의 경험을 통한 교양교육적 가치에 대한 이해를 명확히 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 문화·교육·사회적 관점에서 조형예술활동에 대하여 조형예술과 교육 그리고 그 가치, 창의적 사고에 의한 발상을 고찰함에 있어 전문교육뿐만이 아닌 공교육으로서 선진교육문화로 가기 위한 현 시대의 조형예술교육으로서의 의의를 재조명한다.

In the basic education of formative arts for holistic education, if the education focuses on simple expanding of knowledge and information without specific exploration, it shall cause damage of being-oriented education. Based on meaning and role of formative arts as general education, this study aims at exploring the contemporary literary key words of formative ideas-creativity and imagination. Integrated education in the formative arts is essential to acquire self oriented knowledge and thinking to counter this fast changing knowledge and situation, and it also intends to help to form verbal expression, aesthetic sentiment, value judgement, critical thinking and self identity. By linking paradigm change of the current formative arts caused by destruction of genre of multi-cultural society with creative concept of formative activity, it contributes to social communication and participation through sensitivity education. Thus, this takes an important position in artistic education. Forming a sense from feeling and sensitivity are expressed by means of aesthetic imagination. The imagination as an initiating power to reconstruct reality enables to clarify the understanding of general education through experiences of formative arts in terms of its fundamental and social aspect. This study attempts to re-illuminate meaning of formative artistic education as a stepping stone to get to advanced educational culture as public education simply beyond a specialized education in the examination of formative arts, education and its value and speculation of creative thinking.
