생태감수성 함양을 위한 균형교양교과목 운영방안

Operation of Balanced Liberal Arts Courses for the Cultivation of Ecological Sustainability： Understanding of Ecological Literature

본 연구는 계명대학교의 균형교양 교과목인 <생태문학의 이해>를 2019년 2학기 한 학기 동안 강의안대로 운영한 후 학습자들의 반응을 설문조사를 통해 분석하였다. 위 교과목은 핵심교양과목으로서 문학과 예술 영역에 속하며 인문학적 소양인 공존의 가치를 학습자들에게 내면화하는데 그 목적을 둔 수업이다. 교과의 수업방식은 수업의 효율성을 증가시키기 위해 학습자의 피드백을 통해 매학기 조금씩 추가와 삭제를 거듭해 왔고, 개설 후 2년 차인 2019년 2학기 한 학기동안 학습자들의 반응을 평가하기 위해 수강생 96명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 그 중 남학생 38명과 여학생 49명 인 총 87명이 설문에 응답하였다. 설문은 위 교과목이 생태환경 감수성 함양에 중점을 두었으므로 수강 후 학습자들의 생태환경에 대한 인식변화의 여부에 초점을 두었다. 설문기준은 남녀와 학과, 계열 및 학년에 따라 분류하였고 내용은 수업 방식과 평가, 수업 콘텐츠, 발표주제 선정, 추가 주제나 개선 보완할 점이다. 설문조사 결과에 의하면 본 수업을 수강한 후 학습자의 78%이상이 생태환경에 대한 인식의 변화가 있었다고 답했고 ‘그저 그렇다’는 21%, ‘그렇지 않은 편이다’와‘그렇지 않다’는 0%였다. 따라서 본 수업방식과 내용은 학습자들의 생태인식변화에 긍정적인 효과를 주었음을 알 수 있다. 그러나 수강인원 과다로 토론수업 진행의 어려움이 있었고 수업의 집중도가 다소 떨어지는 경향이 있었다. 하지만 본 설문조사의 의의는 위 수업운영방식이 학습자로 하여금 생태환경을 진지하게 성찰하여 환경에 대한 인식변화를 가져왔다는 점이다. 따라서 향후 타 대학에서 유사교과목을 개발할 경우 본 교과운영방식이 참고 가능한 기초자료가 될 수 있다.

In this study, Keimyung University s balanced liberal arts course, <Understanding of Ecological Literature>, was operated as a lecture plan during the second semester of 2019 and analyzed the responses of learners through a survey. The above subjects are core liberal arts classes that belong to the literature and arts domains, and aim to internalize the value of coexistence, which is a humanistic literacy, to learners. The teaching method of the subject has been repeatedly added and deleted each semester through feedback from learners to increase the efficiency of the class. In order to evaluate the responses of learners during the second semester of 2019, a total of 87 students, 38 male and 49 female, responded to the survey. The questionnaire focuses on whether or not the above subjects focus on fostering ecological sensitivity, and whether or not learners change their awareness of the ecological environment after taking classes. The questionnaire criteria were categorized according to gender, department, and grade, and the contents will be supplemented by the teaching method and evaluation, class content, presentation topic selection, and additional topics or improvement. According to the results of the survey, more than 78% of learners said that there was a change in their awareness of the ecological environment after taking this class. Therefore, it can be seen that this teaching method and contents had a positive effect on learners ecological awareness change. However, due to the excessive number of students, there were difficulties in conducting discussion classes, and the concentration of classes tended to decrease. The significance of this questionnaire is that the above teaching method brought the learner s awareness of the environment by seriously reflecting on the ecological environment. Therefore, if similar subjects are developed at other universities in the future, this subject management method can be a reference material.
