We demonstrate how to improve the first-year education based on a series of analyses including i) the freshman survey, ii) the first-year experience assessment and, iii) the University College Academic Advising Database System in Yonsei University. As a consequence, specialized academic advising system and cooperative major and career exploration system were developed and highly successfully implemented.
