NCS 직업기초능력을 활용한 교양 교과목 설계 방안

Since 2013, 2-3years colleges of Korea have tried to enhance vocational education to meet a high standard industries expect in knowledge-information society. With the increasing attention about 2-3years colleges and vocational education, NCS has been widely used for new vocational education system. The introduction of NCS, National Competency Standards, means Korea government by itself performs job analysis systematically according to fields and levels of occupations and then, 2-3years colleges and vocational education institutes design curriculum to educate not only knowledge and skills but also to develop one s performance and attitude. Moreover, NCS includes vocational basic abilities, which consist of 10 elements such as interpersonal skills and mathematics. Because the abilities would be the important elements for a successful work life, 2-3years college should put effort to develop some courses to teach them. This study focuses on the problems and obstacles of the current general education system of 2-3years colleges and provides a case study which could be a model to design a general education class by applying the vocational basic abilities based on NCS.
