Culture affects students’ cognitive learning styles and teachers’ perceptions of students’ academic ability, learning opportunities and evaluations of their contributions to class. After identifying key issues in multicultural education with a cross-cultural comparison between Korea and the U.S., teachers’ communication strategies for culturally responsive classroom will be discussed.
