Analysis and Improvement Measures for Children s Traffic Dead Accidents

어린이 교통사고 추이를 통해 전체 사고 대비 사망자와 스쿨 존 내에서 발생한 사망자와 각종 어린이 교통사고 현황에 대하여 알아보고 어린이 교통사고에 대한 분석을 통하여 그에 대한 개선방안을 찾고자 한다. 2019년 12월 10일, 국회 본회의에서 의결된 ‘민식이법’과 ‘하준이법’은 어린이 교통안전 강화를 위한 것으로 아이를 둔 부모들을 포함해 많은 사람이 관심을 두고 지켜본 사안이었다. ‘민식이법’에서의 ｢도로교통법｣ 개정안은 어린이 보호구역 내 과속단속카메라 설치를 의무화하고, 해당 지방자치단체장이 신호등, 과속방지턱, 속도제한·안전표지 등을 우선으로 설치하도록 했다. 본 연구에서는 2013년부터 2018년까지 도로교통공단의 교통사고분석 시스템의 자료를 바탕으로 어린이 교통사고에 대한 전체현황을 살펴보고, 2015년부터 2018년까지 어린이 사망사고에 대한 현황과 특성을 분석하고자 한다. 이를 통해서 어린이 교통사고의 문제점에 대해 살펴보고 개선방안을 제시하는 것은 상당히 의미 있는 일이라 할 것이다.

We would like to find out about the deaths compared to the total accident, the deaths within the school zone, and the various traffic accidents of children. In addition, we want to find improvement measures for traffic accidents of children through analysis. The Civilization Act and the Hajoon Act, which were approved at the plenary session of the National Assembly on Dec. 10, 2019, were issues that many people watched with interest, including parents with children, as they were aimed at enhancing traffic safety for children. The revision to the Road Traffic Act in the Civil Food Act requires the establishment of speeding cameras in children s protected areas, and the heads of the affected local governments to install traffic lights, speed bumps, speed limits and safety signs first. In this study, we will examine the overall status of traffic accidents for children from 2013 to 2018 based on data from the Traffic Corporation s Traffic Accident Analysis System and analyze the status and characteristics of child deaths from 2015 to 2018. Through this process, it is very meaningful to examine the problems of traffic accidents for children and to suggest ways to improve them.
