Development and Evaluation of an Educational Courseware: Malaysia Sexuality Education (Case Study)

Most of the Malaysians misunderstood about the purpose of sexuality education and thought their religion is conflicting with sexuality education. This situation hampers the effectiveness of sexuality education that is carried out in Malaysia. As a result, a study on the requirements of a new and effective method of teaching, learning as well as to disseminating information on the subject to the Malaysians especially to school children was conducted. One of the objectives of this study is to design and develop a highly usable of Malaysia Sexuality Education Courseware (MSE). MSE was developed for the human sexuality topic, which absorbed in form three Science of secondary schools in Malaysia. Discussion started with MSE theoretical framework, which consists of several learning and human computer interaction theories. MSE was developed based on AUSDU model. whereby ADDIE model integrated with usage-centered design and usability concepts. The usability evaluation results in terms of the effectiveness, efficiency, satisfaction and learnability constructs had shown that MSE not only improved the students sexuality education performance, but also the interactivity with MSE.
