The Lifelong Education Act of South Korea excludes school education, and studies related to school lifelong education focus only on the physical combination between school and lifelong education. I believe this is problematic and this paper deals with the logical relationship between school education and lifelong education. The key argument of this paper is that schools should play an active role in the construction of lifelong learning societies. In particular, teachers should help students discover aptitude and become active learners. I hope that this study can reveal the logical relationship between school education and lifelong education.
