Proposition of Adjusted Balance Hellinger Measure as Interestingness Measure

요즘 정부에서는 차세대 산업 동력을 찾는 데 범국가적으로 몰두하고 있으며, 이는 사물인터넷, 빅 데이터, 그리고 인공지능 기술 등의 융합으로 산업계 데이터를 이용하여 더 효율적인 생산 공정을 만들고자 하는 것이다. 이 중에서 빅 데이터 기술은 기존의 관리도구로는 처리가 불가능한 대량의 정형 및 비정형 데이터뿐만 아니라 이를 다루는 기술들을 포함한 개념이다. 빅데이터 분석 기술의 핵심이 되는 데이터 마이닝은 다양한 형태의 데이터베이스에 내재되어 있는 지식이나 법칙, 또는 관계를 탐색한 후, 이를 근거로 조직의 의사결정에 활용하고자 하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 데이터 마이닝 기법에서 종종 활용되고 있는 연관성 규칙에서 흥미도 측도로 이용될 수 있는 조정된 균형 헬링거 측도를 제안하였으며, 예제를 이용하여 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 기존의 헬링거 측도는 신뢰도의 값이 증가하거나 감소하는 경우 모두 증가하다가 감소하는 경향을 나타낸 반면에 조정된 헬링거 측도와 조정된 균형 헬링거 측도는 신뢰도가 증감에 따라 같이 증감하는 것으로 나타났으며, 조정된 균형 헬링거 측도는 기존의 조정된 헬링거 측도와 역의 조정된 헬링거 측도의 합으로 나타나서 여러 경우의 신뢰도 크기를 좀 더 구체적으로 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다.

Big data technology is a concept that includes a large amount of structured and unstructured data that can not be processed by existing management tools, as well as technologies that deal with it. We use data mining techniques, which are the core of big data analysis technology, to search for knowledge, rules, or relationship in various types of databases and then use them for decision making. In this paper, we proposed an adjustedb alance Hellinger measure that can be used as an interestingness measure in association rules, which are often used in data mining techniques, and examined its usefulness with examples. As a result, the existing Hellinger measure showed a trend of increasing and decreasing regardless of whether the value of confidence increased or decreased, while the adjusted Hellinger measure and the adjusted and balanced Hellinger measure were also increased or decreased as the confidence increased or decreased. Also, the adjusted and balanced Hellinger measure was a more desirable association measure than the adjusted Hellinger measure by considering all kinds of improvements.
