유형자산투자가 중소기업 수익에 미치는 영향

The Impact of Tangible Asset Investment upon SME s Revenue : Focused on Supplier Networks between SEMs and Conglomerates

본 연구는 대중소기업 거래관계 하에서 중소기업의 유형자산투자가 수익에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 대기업과 중소기업 간 거래관계에서 관습적으로 이뤄지는 단가인하 등으로 인해 협력중소기업이 창출한 수익이 거래단계의 상층으로 이전된다는 주장이 제기되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 비용연동가격제 가설을 검증함으로써 이를 실증하고자 했다. 이를 위해 대기업에 납품하지 않는 비협력중소기업의 유형자산투자에 대한 수익의 반응계수를 표준으로 삼아 이를 협력중소기업의 그것과 비교하였다. 유형자산투자에 대한 수익의 반응계수에서 비협력기업이 협력기업의 그것보다 컸으며 1차 협력기업이 2차 협력기업보다 더 컸다. 이는 비용연동가격제 하에서 협력기업이 창출하는 수익의 일부가 거래단계의 상층부로 이동함으로써 나타나는 결과로 추정된다. 유형자산투자에 대한 수익의 반응계수에서 비협력기업의 그것이 협력기업의 그것보다 컸지만 유형자산 투자량의 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과는 대기업 중소기업간 거래관계 하에서 대기업이 중소기업 수익의 일부를 영유하지만 중소기업의 성장을 억제하지는 않는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 더불어 본 연구의 결과는 대기업 중소기업간 거래관계에서의 불공정성을 개선할 필요성을 뒷받침한다.

This research analyzes the impact of supplier network on tangible asset profit of small-medium sized companies. The research showed the following results. Firstly, estimation of tangible asset investment of profit of independent small-medium sized companies and cooperative suppliers showed a clear procedure as follows: independent companies > primary supplier > secondary supplier. The profit from investing tangible assets of independent companies was larger than that of cooperative companies. This supports the hypothesis that several parts of profit move onto the higher supplier stage under the cost plus pricing policy. Secondly, a considerable difference of investment amount between cooperative companies and non-cooperative companies has not been observed. From these observations it can be inferred that, although conglomerates possess the investment profit of small-medium sized enterprises, they do not suppress the growth of small firms. The results drawn by this research strongly suggest that there is a need for institutional efforts in order to constitute sustainable industrial environment in which quasi-rent created by small and medium sized companies can be vested in them.
