광주광역시, 호남지역 시군 성·연령별 인구이동 분석

Analysis of Sex and Age Specific Migration in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Honam Region

세분된 지역에서 성·연령별 전입자 수와 전출자 수에 관한 계량적 연구는 복잡성 때문에 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 광주광역시와 호남지역을 대상으로 전출입의 변화를 살펴보았고, 이 지역을 시군으로 구분하여 2008-2017년 순이동에 대하여 분석하였다. 마지막으로 같은 기간에서 연령별 이동을 분석하는 모형을 적용하여 시군에서 성·연령별 전입과 전출 양상에 대하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 광주광역시와 호남지역의 총 전입과 전출은 규모가 줄어들면서 균형을 이루는 모습을 보였으나 순이동 시군별 분석에서는 나주시를 제외한 대부분 지역에서 차이가 크지는 않으나 전입보다는 전출이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 각 시군에 대한 성 연령별 이동자 수 분석에서는 50대 후반 이후의 전입과 전출은 늘어나는 추세지만 그 외 연령대에서는 전입과 전출이 모두 줄어드는 추세로 나타났다. 이런 결과는 상대적으로 고령화가 더 진행된 호남지역에서는 지역소멸을 가속화 할 수 있어 매우 위협적인 것으로 판단된다. 향후 광주광역시와 호남지역은 저출산·고령화에 대한 정책뿐 아니라 인구이동과 지역통합에 대한 정책을 시급히 고려해야 하며 본 연구가 이에 기여할 수 있기를 희망한다.

Quantitative research on the number of in-migrations and out-migrations in consideration of gender and age in subdivided areas is lacking due to complexity. In this study, we looked at the change of migrants in and out to Gwangju Metropolitan City and Honam region, and analyzed the net migrants from 2008 to 2017 by dividing the area into Sigun. Finally, the in-migrants and out-migrants by gender and age were analyzed in the Sigun by applying a model that analyzes migrants by age in the same period. The analysis showed that the total migrants in and out in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Honam regions was balanced with decreasing trend, but analysis by net migrants showed that most regions except Naju had slightly more out-migrants than in-migrants. In the analysis of the number of migrations by gender and age in each Sigun, while migrants in and out in their late 50s is on the rise, in other age groups, both in-migrants and out-migrants are on the decline. The results are considered very threatening in the relatively aging Honam region, as it could accelerate regional annihilation. In the future, Gwangju Metropolitan City and the Honam region urgently should consider policies on migration and regional integration as well as on low fertility rate and aging, and hope this research can contribute.
