교사와 유아가 함께하는 놀이, 연극놀이의 경험

Playing the Teacher and the Children Together, The Experience of Creative Drama

본 연구에서는 연극놀이 경험을 통해 놀이중심교육의 방안을 모색하였다. 연구자는, 2019년 5월 10일부터 7월 18일까지의 기간 동안, 만4세 유아 20명, 담임교사 1명과 함께, 매1시간씩 총 26차시의 연극놀이를 진행하였다. 녹음전사, 사진, 동영상, 저널, 협의록 등의 수집자료에 대하여, 여러 단계를 걸쳐 분석하여 의미단위를 추출하였고, 그 결과를 글쓰기로 구체화하였다. 연구결과는, ‘어떤 공간도 ‘무슨 공간’이 될 수 있는 연극놀이’, ‘아무나 ‘누구 가 될 수 있는 연극놀이’, ‘아무 때나 ‘언제 가 될 수 있는 연극놀이’ 등으로 요약하였다. 연극놀이를 통해 기존의 공간은 새롭게 생성·변형되었으며 유아들은 자기가 하고 싶은 역할 안에서 자신을 자유롭게 드러내기도 했지만 서로의 반응에 영향을 받기도 했다. 그리고 연극놀이 안에서는, 과거, 현재, 미래의 어떤 순간이든 소환할 수 있었다. 연극놀이는 놀이중심 교육에서 교사의 계획, 유아와 교사의 참여 형태, 실행 방식, 교육과정으로써의 가능성을 열어주었다.

The purpose of this study is to find out how to fold the play-centered education, through the experience of ‘Creative drama’. The participants of this study were 20 children of 6-years-old and one classroom teacher. The creative dramas were played 26 times, an hour at a time, during May 10 to July 18, 2019 period. The researcher collected video, audio recordings, and photographs while playing and observing children. Also the researcher transcribed all the audio records, wrote researcher s journals, and held the the consultation sessions with fellow researchers. The collected data were extracted and classified into units through various analysis stages. The results of this study were summarized as ‘In the creative drama, any space could be meaningful space’. ‘In the creative drama, anyone could be meaningful person’. ‘In the creative drama, any time could be meaningful time’. The space of creative drama could be transformed or created as another space through the participation of the members. The children could take any roles they wanted to play.Also Children were able to learn many things by expressing themselves. The participants could bring any story ideas from the past, present, and future. This study suggested various implications for teachers regarding folding play-centered curriculum.
