학문 목적 외국인 유학생의 학업 성취 관련 변인 분석

Analysis on factors related to the academic achievement of foreign exchange students visiting for academic purposes

본 연구는 학문 목적 외국인 유학생의 학업 성취와 관련된 요인을 설정하고, 어떤 요인에서 어려움을 겪고 있는지를 살펴보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 학업 성취 관련 요인을 설정하고, 요인분석을 실시해 학업 성취에 관련된 요인을 체계화하고자 하였다. 요인분석 실시 결과 총 9개의 요인이 추출되어 네 개의 대영역을 설정하고 학업 성취 관련 요인을 체계화하였다. 설정한 요인은 학습언어 요인, 인지적 요인, 과제 해결 요인, 자아 효능감 요인, 불안 요인, 동료의 사회적지지 요인, 부모의 사회적지지 요인, 교수의 사회적지지 요인, 대인관계 요인이다. 요인별로 학습자가 어려워하는 요인을 분석한 결과 학습언어 요인, 인지적 요인, 대인관계 요인을 어려워하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

This study aims to determine factors related to the academic achievement of foreign exchange students visiting Korea to study and investigate the which of these factors are presenting difficulty in achieving this goal. Factors related to academic achievement will be determined and factor analysis had been conducted to organize those related to academic achievement. As a result, total of 9 factors were selected and systematically divided into 4 larger groups Determined factors are as follows: learning language factor, cognitive factor, task handling factor, self-efficacy factor, anxiety factor, peer social support factor, parental social support factor, instructor social support factor, interpersonal relationship factor. The result of analysis showed that the factors which learners are having the most difficulty with are learned language factor, cognitive factor, and interpersonal factor.
