본 연구는 실버콘텐츠의 대표작이라 평가 받는 <창문 넘어 도망친 100세 노인>의 영화적 공간을 미셸 푸코가 제안한 ‘헤테로토피아’의 구성 요소를 대입하여 해석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 접근법은 미디어 콘텐츠에서 제시한 이상적 공간을 유토피아의 성격으로 단순 정의할 수 없다는 것을 전제로 한다. 이러한 연구 관점에 따라 본 고에서는 미셸 푸코가 제안한 헤테로토피아의 구성 요소를 세 가지로 재정의 하였다. 첫째, 개인과 사회가 존재하는 실재적 공간이 배경이 되고, 이를 바탕으로 이상적 공간이 형성되어야 한다. 둘째, 개인과 사회가 꿈꾸는 구체적 환상이 존재해야한다. 쾌락, 일탈, 변화 모두를 포함하며, 기본적으로 사회에 비판적 경향을 지닌다. 셋째, 이를 구현하고자 하는 의지적 실천 행위가 필요하다. 공간과 환상이 갖추어진다 하더라도 이를 의지적 실천으로 옮기지 못하면 헤테로토피아는 성립할 수 없다. 이러한 세 가지 요소를 <창문 넘어 도망친 100세 노인> 속에서 묘사된 공간적 요소에 대입하였을 때, 영화에서의 이상적 공간은 유토피아의 환상성을 지니기 보다는 이질성을 가진 헤테로토피아로 해석하는 것이 더욱 적합하다는 것이 본고의 결론이다.
The purpose of this study is to redefine the space of “The 100 year old man who climbed out the window and disappeared”, which is a representative of silver contents, through the elements constituting Heterotopia proposed by Michel Foucault. This approach presupposes that ideal space in media contents can not be simply defined by the nature of Utopia. The purpose of this study is to reinterpret the meaning of space by selecting a movie about a person’s biology. Based on these research perspectives, this study redefined the components of Michel Foucault’s Heterotopia in three ways. First, the actual space in which the individual and the society exist is the background, and the ideal space should be formed based on this. Second, there must be specific illusions that individuals and society dream of. It includes pleasure, deviance, and change, and it has a critical tendency to all things in society. Third, a willing action to implement this is necessary. Even if space and fantasy are equipped, Heterotopia can not be established unless it is transferred to a willing action. When these three elements are assigned to the “The 100 year old man who climbed out the window and disappeared”, It is more appropriate for this ideal space to be reinterpreted as a Heterotopia with heterogeneity rather than Utopia fantasy.
