A Study on the Design Method of British & American Literature Contents Model using Digital Software Program

본 논문은 학습자가 영미문학에 대해 흥미와 관심을 높이고 학습자의 객관적 사고력과 창의력 향상을 위해 영미문학 교육 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 본 논문은 교수자 및 학습자 간의 의사소통을 위해 소프트웨어 프로그램 도구를 사용하여 문학 작품을 이해하고 분석하는 과정으로 학습자가 영미문학의 관심을 높이고 독창성을 향상시킬 수 있음을 보여준다. 디지털환경에 친숙한 학습자는 전통적인 수업방식으로는 영미문학 수업에 흥미를 갖지 못하고 수업을 멀리 하게 된다. 끊임없이 변화하고 있는 사회적, 문화적 환경의 학습자들이 지루한 수업에서 탈피하려고 하는 것은 당연한 결과라고 할 수 있다. 학습자가 영미문학에 자연스럽게 다가올 수 있도록 교육의 환경적 변화가 요구되고 있는 시점에서, 학습자의 흥미와 관심을 높일 수 있는 소통의 도구와 학습자간 상호 공감대를 형성할 수 있는 새로운 메커니즘이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 학습자가 수업에 능동적으로 참여하여 다른 학습자와의 대화와 토론을 전개하면서 다의성을 지니고 있는 영미문학 작품에 대한 분석과 비평, 다른 학습자의 의견 존중, 그리고 객관적인 사고력을 향상시켜 창의력을 발전시키는데 본 연구의 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to propose the design method of British & American literature education contents model using digital software program. This study shows the process of understanding and analysing Mrs. Dalloway by using software program tools for the English literature class. Mrs. Dalloway is one of the representative works of the 20th century British writer, Virginia Woolf, who is regarded as a pioneer of feminism and modernism. Learners study story summaries and critics’ opinions, and suggest a model design method by applying digital tool techniques. Learners can increase the interest of the literature, improve the creativity, and enhance the objective thinking through this teaching method. Under the constantly changing social and cultural environment, the environmental changes of education are required so that learners can come naturally to British and American literature. Adhering to conventional teaching methods is far from the learners familiar with the digital environment. Thus there are needs for new mechanism that can increase learners’ interest and concern. In this paper, the significance of the study is that the learners can actively participate in class, develop dialogue and discussion with other learners, analyze and criticize the British and American literature with diversity, and respect opinions of other learners.
