도시산책 모티브를 반영한 문학콘텐츠 개발에 관한 연구

A Study on Literature Contents Development in a context of Flâneur: Focused on the Spatial Narrative of Seoul Downtown

본고는 근대소설에서 도시산책자 모티브를 추출하고 그 지리적 배경이 된 서울도심에 공공조형미술이나 증강현실을 이용하여 시각적으로 형상화 하는 것을 연구목적으로 한다. 지금까지 도시소설 서사를 해당 장소에 형상화 하는 사례는 매우 드물었다. 왜냐하면 서울도심은 공간이 매우 제한적이라 문학관 설립이나 조형미술을 이용한 형상화가 어렵기 때문이다. 근대소설 서사를 서울도심에 형상화하기 위해 소설의 내용과 플롯이 공간을 얼마나 잘 반영하고 있는지를 분석해야한다. 본고에서는 서울도심공간이 비교적 세밀하게 형상화된 5편의 소설을 선정하여 도시산책자 모티브가 잘 드러난 부분을 추출하였다. 서울도심을 배경으로 하는 5편의 근대소설에 나타난 도시 산책자들은 그 강도는 각각 다르지만 멜랑콜리를 담지하고 있다는 점이 특징적이다. 따라서 도시산책자의 멜랑콜리를 어떻게 도시공간에 심미화 하느냐가 서울도심 문학콘텐츠화의 핵심이라 할 수 있다. 공간적 제약을 극복하기 위해 거점장소에 문학부스를 만들어 증강현실을 시연하거나 도시의 심미화 프로젝트와 연계하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 소설의 서사를 조형예술이나 증강현실로 만들어 제공한다면 시민들과 외래 관광객들에게 볼거리를 제공하는 차원을 넘어서서 도시공간의 장소적 진정성과 인간의 실존에 대한 사유를 경유하여 궁극적으로 미적 경험을 가능하게 할 것으로 생각한다.

The purpose of this study was to extract the fl&#226;neur’s motives and embody them into the downtown area of Seoul in the manner of public figurative arts and augmented reality. It had been very rare that the narratives of urban novels were visually embodied into the space of the city center in a certain form because the city center area was spatially limited. In the first instance, the spatial narrative of the novel had to be analyzed in order for the novel’s narrative to be well embodied into the city center. The author selected the novels which were best revealed the own identity of Seoul out of the novels in 1920-30. Five novels finally were selected: <A day of Novelist Gubo>, <Love and Lust>, <Wing>, <The Three Generations>, <Love and Sin>. As a result of narrative analysis, three types of fl&#226;neur were found. They were Park Tae Won type of fl&#226;neur, Lee Sang type of fl&#226;neur, and Yum Sang Sup type of fl&#226;neur. Park Tae Won type was the person who was socially misfitted but constantly worked himself into a crowd and observed them. Lee Sang type was the person who was socially misfitted and resisted against the spectacle of the city. Yum Sang Sup type was the person who got a deep footing in a social life but pursued the authentic human nature. The common feature of three types of fl&#226;neur was for them to be immersed into a mood of melancholy. However, this melancholy was not one that drove them toward destruction but led them into the existential thoughts. So it might be the key part of embodiment of narrative of a novel to transform the mood of melancholy into the space of city center. It might be very effective not only to establish literary booths for trial demonstration for AR literary contents but also to make a connection to the city arts projects to overcome spatial limitation. It was expected that both AR and public arts could make people do aesthetic experiences.
