국내 테마파크 콘텐츠 연출방법 연구

A Study of Directorial Ways of Domestic Theme Parks’ Contents: Focused on Analyzing the Newest Directorial Trends of Foreign Theme Parks’ Contents

테마파크는 현대인의 삶에 필수적인 놀이요소로 자리매김하였으므로 테마파크의 놀이성에 대한 진지한 인식과 그것의 콘텐츠의 연출 경향에 대한 학문적인 논의가 필요한 시점이 되었다. 이를 위해 테마파크 콘텐츠에 내재된 연극성을 기반으로 하는 최신 연출 경향을 분석하기 위해, 국내의 에버랜드, 롯데월드와, 해외 테마파크를 방문하여 자료 조사를 진행하였다. 그 결과 OSMU에 기반을 둔, 공간스토리텔링으로의 연출, 공연으로의 장르전환 연출, 인터랙션 중심의 복합 어트랙션(attraction)/라이드(ride)로의 연출적 경향을 향후 국내 테마파크의 콘텐츠 연출방향으로 삼아야 할 것으로 판단된다. 해외 테마파크들은 유기적이고 명확한 주제를 갖고 있으며 공연과 마찬가지로 그 컨셉을 이루어내기 위해 모든 총체적인 프로덕션 요소들이 준비된다. 동시에 카유와의 놀이의 속성 중 하나 이상이 각 테마파크의 콘텐츠에 적용되어 놀이성을 극대화하는 방향으로 연출적 의도가 구축되어 있음을 확인할 수 있다.

Playfulness is the common crucial element of theme parks and must be the most important thing to human. From this reason I felt the necessities of analyzing the directing trends of foreign theme park’s contents which is essential to modern human’s life. For this analysis I visited and experimented the advanced foreign ones’ contents and studied the directorial trends of them especially. The necessity of creating and directing new space storytelling ways, making adaption to performances, and creating complex attractions which focuses on multimedia interaction to visitors based on OSMU. The analyzed theme parks have one explicit subject and prepare all of equipments and design elements in order to accomplish the concept like theatre performance. Because more than one of Caillois’ four elements of playfulness is being applied to the contents of theme parks, I found their strategy is maximizing the playfulness and impact on the trends of directorial ways at the same time. I believe we should analyze academically these kinds of applied arts, performances, entertainment of theme parks as well as pure theatre arts and be interested in the theatricality of them.
