히키코모리의 행태와 소통방식의 이해방안

Understanding of the Behavior and Communication Method of Social Withdrawal

오늘날 한국사회는 핵가족 제도의 일반화, 이혼율의 급증 등의 변화로 기존의 가족체계가 흔들리고 있다. 이처럼 갈수록 심화되는 공동체의 급속한 붕괴는 우리네 인간관계를 계산적이고 경쟁적 관계로 변질시키고 있다. 사회적 관계의 균열, 소통의 부재, 그리고 미래에 대한 불확실성과 불안은 단순히 개인의 차원으로 한정되는 것이 아니라 오늘날 우리네 삶을 고립과 단절로 몰아가는 사회적 병리현상으로 확산되고 있다. 입시 스트레스, 경제위기, 취업난, 학교 왕따 등 외부적 요인 외에도 인터넷의 가상세계는 히키코모리 현상을 야기하며 그 추세가 점차 늘어나는데 일조하고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 임상학적 실험결과나 모호한 사유적 대안보다는 히키코모리의 모습을 재현한 영화를 통해 사회적 고립의 양상을 검토하고 이를 극복할 수 있는 인문학적 실천의 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이는 영화 속에 투영된 그들의 모습이 어떻게 그려지며, 어떤 문제에 봉착하는지를 살펴봄으로써, ‘다름의 차이’를 인정하고 수용하는 성숙한 사회로의 전환을 제시하고자한다. 따라서 본 연구는 우선 히키코모리의 정의와 원인을 살펴보고, 그런 다음 한국영화 속에 재현된 히키코모리의 모습들이 어떤 방식으로 투영되어 있는지 검토하고자 한다. 마지막으로, 현재 한국영화가 그들의 모습을 어떻게 그려내는지를 비교분석하여, 향후 우리사회가 겪게 될 갈등과 충돌을 최소화하기 위한 히키코모리에 대한 이해방안이나 인식의 변화에 일조하고자 한다.

Today, Korean traditional family system is shaken because the trend toward the nuclear family and a sudden increase of the divorce rate. Such a rapid collapse of the Korean community makes our relationship change into very competitive and calculated relationships. Also, cracks of social relationships, lack of communication, and the uncertainty and anxiety about the future is simply not limited to the level of individuals today but deepening social pathology going to drive social isolation and disconnection. In addition, the Hikikomori phenomenon is caused and increased by the virtual world of the Internet and external factors such as collage admissions stress, economic crisis, employment problem, and school bullying. In this paper, the researcher looks into various aspects of the social isolation and find out ways of practice of the humanities not through results of clinical trials or ambiguous alternatives but through films dealing with Hikikomori(Social withdrawal). Therefore, this study first examines the definition and causes of Hikikomori then looks into how two Korean films represent features and behaviors of Hikikomori. Finally, comparing with Hikikomoris in these two films, the researcher draws the ways of understanding Hikikomori to minimize conflicts and troubles Korean society will face in the future.
