Purpose– The purpose of this article is to analyze the impact of macro economic variables, especially economic globalization varaibles including FDI, on the military conflict between countries. We would to find the relation between international war and national and cultural characteristics, national assets including technologies, human resources and macro economic indexes on each country. It could reveal the impact of economic globalization on the military conflict. Design/methodology/approach–This Study examined the interrelations of FDI and military conflict(involving war) of the State during the period 1950-2009. Cox‘s Repeated Hazard Mode is adopted to analyze and data were collected from many international institute and organization including SIPRI, UN, World Bank, etc. Findings–In this study, we seek to bridge economic globalization and military conflicts. The findings show the possibility that GNP and current balance besides war experience and atomic power may deter the military conflicts. Research implications or Originality–This article tried to availability of adoption of national economic variables including international BOP to the military war conflict. We can raise the liability of the result by using logistics model. We adopted secondary data for enlarge the case studies on wars and could a relation between economic variables and war not on a specific nation but on multinational level. We could also increase reliablities of the results of the study using disrete time logit model.
