Review or Spin-offs System and Researches in Korea

We reviewed the usefulness of spinoffs as a restructuring tool. As a result, first we found an increase in spinoffs and a positive record as a restructuring tool. Second, the effectiveness of spinoffs is established through numerous studies showing spinoffs leading to higher stock returnsfollowing the announcement of spinoffs, and corporate value following the execution of spinoffs.Third, previous researches on spinoffs are extended to include business administration and case studies to analyze the factors that improve corporate value. Spinoffs are an important theme in the field of management, corporate finance and accounting.Thus its theories must be developed to increase the corporate value achieved through the restructuring method of spinoffs.
