문재인 정부 통일교육에 관한 평화교육적 고찰

A Study on the Peace Educational review on the Unification Education of the Moon Jae-in Government: Focusing on 2019 ‘Visit School Unification Education’

문재인 정부 출범 후 남북 관계 개선에 대한 기대가 높아졌으며, 이에 따라 통일교육에의 변화 가능성도 감지됐다. 2019년은 평화ㆍ통일교육이 실천되는 실질적인 시기로서 통일부의 대표적 프로그램인 ‘찾아가는 학교통일교육’도 변화의 시작을 알렸다. 이 활동은 평화의 가치를 통일교육 속에 담아내려는 노력을 통해 새로운 실천을 지향하고 있다. 통일교육 현장에서 오랜 기간 활동하고 연구자는 질적연구의 한 분야인 사례연구로서 2019 개정 강의안을 평화교육의 관점에서 검토하였다. 이에 따른 ‘찾아가는 학교통일교육’의 몇 가지 과제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 게임 활동 속에 등장하는 경쟁의 원리를 평화감수성을 기반으로 하는 협력의 원리로 전환해야 한다. 둘째, 다양한 의견이 펼쳐지는 통일교육의 장이 마련되어야 한다. 셋째, 평화를 과정의 시각으로 바라보는 교육적 접근방식이 필요하다. 넷째, 우연히 획득되는 ‘평화’의 모습이 아닌, 관심과 노력에 토대를 두는 ‘평화’의 이미지가 요청된다.

Since the inauguration of the Moon Jae-in government, expectations for improved inter-Korean relations have increased, and as a result, changes in unification education have been recognized. Peace and unification education was actually implemented in 2019. Therefore, Visit School Unification Education , a representative program of the Ministry of Unification, also began to change. It is trying to put the value of peace in unification education. The researcher, a lecturer in unification education, reviewed the 2019 revised lecture from the perspective of peace education as a case study, a field of qualitative inquiry. Following are some of the challenges of ‘Visit School Unification Education’. First, the principle of competition in game activities should be transformed into the principle of cooperation based on peace sensibility. Second, a place for unification education with diverse opinions should be prepared. Third, education is needed to view peace from the perspective of process . Fourth, the image of peace, which is based on attention and effort, is requested, rather than accidentally acquired peace.
