대구 法伊山 烽燧遺蹟에 대한 시론

A study on the Beopisan mountain signal fire remains of Daegu

대구광역시 수성구 두산동 산26번지 일대에 위치하는 대구 法伊山 烽燧는 조선 세종대에 內地烽燧의 규정을 마련하기 이전인 고려 말 또는 조선 건국 초에 倭寇를 감시·통보하기 위해 초축된 이래로 오랜 기간 임무를 수행하였다. 그 흔적은 문헌사료에 고스란히 남았고, 어느 시기엔가 기우단이 신설되었는데 이 또한 문헌사료에 적시되었다. 최근에 실시된 대구 法伊山 烽燧遺蹟에 대한 발굴조사는 문헌사료의관련 내용을 확인시켜 주었을 뿐더러 해당 유적에 대한 학술적 가치를 드높여주었다. 또한 정확한 규모(106.5m)를 파악할 수 있게 되었는데, 큰 규모를 자랑했다는 데에서 군사전략적 입지를 확인시켜 주었다. 더하여 기우제와 관련이 깊은 제단 관련시설은 법이산 일대가 지역민들에게 오랜 기간 尊崇되었던 장소였음을 추정케 해주었다. 특히 발굴조사 결과 기우단-‘〈’자형 및 ‘ㅁ’자형 등의 제단 관련시설- 이 봉수대의 방호벽을 일부 허물고 들어섰다는 사실을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 두 시설의 관계에 대해 나름의 의견을 開陳해 볼 수 있었고 두 시설이 똑같은 기상조건을 공유할 수 없었다는 사실에 착안하여 기우단이 신설됨에 따라 봉수대의 기능에 모종의 변화가 수반되었다는 결론에 이를 수 있었다.

Beopisan Mountain signal fire of Daegu is located in the area of 26 mountains in Doosan-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu. It has been on duty for a long time since it was first established to monitor and inform Japanese pirates(倭寇) at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty or the early Joseon Dynasty, before making regulations for inland signal fires(內地烽燧) in King Sejong of the Joseon Dynasty. The traces were left intact in the records. At some point, a new the place of ritual for rain was built and it was also recorded. The recent excavation of the Beopisan mountain signal fire remains of Daegu not only confirmed the relevant details of the records but also enhanced the academic value of the sites. It also gave us an accurate picture of the size(106.5m), confirming our military strategic position in terms of the large scale. In addition, the altar-related facilities, which are closely related to the place of ritual for rain, have allowed the area to be assumed to have long been worshipped by locals. In particular, the excavation team confirmed that the place of ritual for rain partially demolished the protective wall of the signal fire. This allowed us to express our opinions on the relationship between the two facilities. The fact that the two facilities could not share the same weather conditions led to the conclusion that the new roof was created and that there was a change in the function of the beacon station.
