들뢰즈 ‘욕망’ 개념에 대한 교육 이론적 검토: 신자유주의 세계화를 위한 욕망의 조작

An Educational Investigation with Deleuzian Perspectives on Desire: Modulations of Desire for Neoliberal Globalization

이 연구는 들뢰즈의 욕망 개념을 토대로 세계화, 신자유주의, 교육 간의 관계성을 분석하고자 하는 시도이다. 들뢰즈⋅가타리 사상에 대한 교육학적 분석을 시도했던 많은 연구들은 신자유주의적 이상과 가치들이 교육 전반에 끼치고 있는 다양한 영향들을 들뢰즈⋅가타리가 제시한 여러 개념들을 통해 추론한 바 있다. 따라서 이 연구는 들뢰즈⋅가타리의 여러 저서에서 등장하는 욕망 개념과 이를 분석한 선행 연구들을 검토하여 세계화, 신자유주의, 그리고 교육 간의 밀접한 관계성을 규명한다. 이를 통해 이 연구는 신자유주의적 가치 체계를 토대로 한 세계화의 흐름이 교육 전반을 서서히 잠식하는 일련의 과정을 비판적으로 검토한다.

The purpose of this study is to shed light on the entwined relationship among the current tide of globalization, neoliberal capitalism, and education. Along with various studies relevant to the scholarship that pays attention to Gilles Deleuze’s remarks on education for modulations of desire and control society, a textual analysis of Gilles Deleuze & Félix Guattari’s works illustrates the ways that neoliberal capitalistic ideals and values permeate (or even shape) education dynamics such as education policies, curriculum making process, everyday schooling practices, and the public perception of global citizenship and education. With the analysis of iterature tied to the scholarship engaging in Deleuze and Guattari, I attempt to offer the critique of education and globalization within a neoliberal mindset of flexible and creative capitalism.
