The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of achievement goal orientation, Perceived referee judgement, and perceived performance of Taekwondo athletes. 304 high school Taekwondo athletes (male=255, female=49) participated in this study and they were registered at Korea Taekwondo Association (KTA) as a player. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple regression analysis. This led to some significant results. First, task goal orientation which is sub-factor of achievement goal orientation had a positive effect on all sub-factors of Perceived referee judgement, Second, two factors of achievement goal orientation: task and ego orientation influenced positively perceived performance. Third, only fairness, a sub-factor of Perceived referee judgement, effected positively on perceived performance. In conclusion, achievement goal orientation has been identified as a determinant that predicts the perceived referee’s judgment and perceived performance. Especially, task goal orientation is closely related to the perceived referee’s judgment.
