Relationship Among Social Support, Problem Solving Ability and Burnout of Taekwondo Players

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among social support, problem solving ability and burnout in high school taekwondo athletes. In this study, 350 high school Taekwondo players who participated in areas of Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon, were selected as a population. A total of 331 data were used for the final analysis except for the 19 data lacking consistency of responses. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, regularity verification, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling using SPSS 23.0 and Amos 23.0 programs. The results of this study were as follows. First, social support of high school Taekwondo players had a positive effect on problem solving ability. Second, social support of high school Taekwondo players had a negative effect on burnout. Third, problem solving ability of high school Taekwondo players had a negative effect on burnout.
