다문화 사회에 적합한 인성교육의 방향

The Direction of Character Education in the Multicultural Society

청소년의 학교폭력에 대한 사회적 우려가 증가하면서 국가 주도의 인성교육의 강화정책의 일환으로 인성교육진흥법이 제정되었다. 다문화 사회로의 변화를 대비한 다문화 교육은 중요한 교육의 방향이었고, 최근의 인성교육의 강화가 다문화 교육에 미치는 영향을 검토해 볼 필요가 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 다문화 교육과 인성교육의 상보적 관계를 위해서 인성교육진흥법에 나타난 인성교육의 개념을 비판적으로 검토하여 다문화 사회에 적합한 인성교육의 방향을 제안하는 것이다. 다문화 인성교육을 위한 세 가지 방안을 제안하였다. ①정의를 인성의 핵심덕목으로 추가 ② 문화적 차이와 존중을 배울 수 있는 문화감응 교수법 활용 ③ 역량학습을 위한 학생중심 교수법

While social concern about school violence has increased as part of the Youth Character Education Promotion Law as one of the strengthening of country-led policies of character education was enacted. Since multicultural education in preparation for the transition to a multicultural society has been generally a major directions of education, it is necessary to review the impact of the recent strengthening of character education to multicultural education . The purpose of this study is to critically review the conception of character education which is appeared in Character Education Promotion Law and to to propose the direction of the character education for a multicultural society for the complementary relationship between multicultural education and character education. The three options suggested for the multicultural character education . ① add a definition to the core virtues of social justice ② Culture -sensitive teaching methods utilized to learn and respect the cultural differences ③ Student-centered teaching method for learning skills
