韓日の社会言語学研究は何を目指すのか

The Ultimate Goal of Korean‐Japanese Sociolinguistic Research

社会言語学研究は、世界中で言語行動、言語変化、言語生活を始めとす る諸分野において、様々な観点からの研究がなされてきた。本研究は、韓国が変化の激しい社会となった今日、言語が社会的環境などの言語外的要因によって多様に変化しており、その解明のためには、社会変化に連動した言語研究の変化について、分析を進めていく必要性を認識した。その一環として、本研究では、言語的にも社会的にも密接なかかわりを持つ韓国と日本の社会状況を考慮し、社会言語学研究動向を対照することを採択した。こうしたことから、韓国の研究動向の現状を再考し、これからの課題と方向を考察するために、韓日の社会言語学研究動向を分析した。本研究は包括的な分析のために、社会言語学の理論的背景と韓日の先行研究を踏まえて研究現状を把握し、韓日の社会言語学研究動向を学術雑誌と書籍を通して概観した上で、韓日の社会言語学研究を対照分析した。こうした分析に基づき、韓国の社会言語学研究において、発展的な展開を目指し今後の課題を述べることと共に、言語と社会、言語と経済、応用言語学研究への方向を考えてみた。

Sociolinguistic research has been conducted from various perspectives in a variety of fields including language behavior, language change, and language life. This study deals with the fact that the Korean society has been rapidly changing, and the language has been changing in various ways due to non‐linguistic factors such as social environment. In order to clarify this situation, it became critical to recognize the necessity of analysis on the change of language research according to social change. Accordingly, this study adopted a research method that contrasts the trend of Korean‐Japanese social language research considering the social situation of Korea and Japan which are closely related linguistically and socially. So this study suggests future tasks and directions in terms of the status of Korean research trend. Specifically, the research status was clearly identified based on the theoretical background of social linguistics and previous studies of Korea‐Japan, and the trends of Korea‐Japan research was reviewed through journals and books, and then compared and analyzed in detail through the case studies of sociolinguistic. Based on this analysis, this study presents future tasks aiming at the specific development and improvement of social linguistics in Korea, and examined the direction of language and society, language and economics, and applied linguistics research.
