구루시마 다케히코(久留島武彦)의 구연동화와 식민정책

A Colonial Policy and the Storytelling of Takehiko Kurushima

本論文は日本の口演童話の普及者と言われる久留島武彦が植民地朝鮮でどのような口演童話活動の様相を見せたか、󰡔京城日報󰡕に掲載された口演童話を中心に考察したものである。 久留島武彦は1915年に東洋協会の嘱託により、朝鮮を訪問した。彼は家庭博覧会で日露戦争で活躍した乃木大将のお伽噺を語った。それは｢乃木大将の幼年時代｣と｢乃木大将の臍火鉢｣であったが、日本の‘武士道の精神’と日本の国技である相撲を通じて日本の‘大和魂’を強調したものである。 また、久留島は1921年6月に滿洲巡廻口演旅行を終えて京城に入り、黃金館で伊太利戰話の｢一本足の突貫｣を口演した。欧州大戦乱の英雄であるエリンコ․トーテの実話を口演することにより、三千の児童を狂喜させた。それは久留島のナショナリズムの反映にほかならないものである。

This paper studies the aspect of Takehiko Kurushima’s storytelling activities during the Japanese occupation of Korea, based on his fairy tales published in Keijo Nippo. When a ‘Home Exposition’ of Keijo was held in 1915, he visited Joseon sponsored by Dongyang Association. He narrated a story of Nogi captain who actively played in the Russo-Japanese War as having embraced the intention of Dongyang Association who did colonial activities at the time. His story highlighted the importance of education to make children loyal, courageous and spirited. Kurushima also did a storytelling of an Italy’s war story, ‘shout of one‐legged’, at Golden Hall in Keijo in June 1921. It was based on a true story of Enrico Totti, a hero of World War I and truly reflected his nationalism based on his experience of the war.
