일본의 교원양성과정에서 교육철학의 위치와 역할에 관한 고찰

A Study on the Role of Educational Philosophy in the Process of Teacher Training in Japan

오늘날 대학교육의 질 보장을 위해 교육정책과 교육이론, 교육현장의 일치가 강조되고 있다. 한편 대학의 교원양성과정에서는 현장에서 적용 가능한 실천적 지도력을 부각시키면서 기존의 교육이론이 왜소화되는 경향이 있다. 본 연구에서는 2000년대 이후 일본의 교육철학계의 동향을 통해, 교원양성과정에서 필요한 학문적 훈련으로서 이론(철학)과 실천(현장)에 대한 논의를 살펴보고 교원양성과정에서 교육철학의 역할에 대해 다룸으로써 한국 교원양성과정 개편에 시사점을 얻고자 한다. 일본의 교원양성과정은 1945년 패전 전의 사범학교 중심의 폐쇄형 양성에서 패전 후의 대학 중심 개방형으로 전환하여 유지되어 오다가 현대에는 교사의 질적 수준을 향상시키고자 노력하며 다시 ‘실천적 지도력’을 강조하게 되었다. 대학에서 교원양성과정이 실학주의로 기울면서 성과와 증거를 요구하는 시대에 실천주의의 함정을 지적하고, 교원양성과정에서 교육철학의 유용성을 밝히기 위해 예비교사, 현장교사, 교육학자의 입장에서 다각도로 접근했다. 또한 교육철학 고유의 영역을 개척하기 위한 노력을 살펴보았다.

This study examines the recent discussions on theory (philosophy) and practice (field) in the philosophy of education of Japan, as an academic discipline required in the process of teacher training and obtains implications for the reorganization of the Korean teacher training course. In Japan, after the defeat, the teacher training course has been converted into an open type and maintained. However, since 2000, it has been trying to improve the quality of teachers in line with the trend of globalization. However, while emphasizing practice in the process of teacher training, the proportion of liberal arts and humanities as academic training has decreased. In response to this, the researchers of educational philosophy, education, and sociology who were the mainstays of the existing educational theory gathered under the subject Is the educational philosophy useful for fostering the teachers of the university and conducted a special research study “Review of the position of educational philosophy in teacher training course in 2006. In this study, we review the background and results of the formation of these research groups by raising the effort to seek the third way to overcome the long disputed theory and practice. and raise the role of educational philosophy in the reorganization of current curriculum in Korea
