유아교사의 환경소양과 환경교수효능감이 환경교수실제에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Environmental Literacy and Environmental Teaching Efficacy Beliefs on the Environmental Teaching Practice of Early Childhood Teachers

본 연구는 유아교사의 환경소양, 환경교수효능감, 환경교수실제에 대한 일반적인 경향을 살펴보고, 환경소양과 환경교수효능감, 환경교수실제의 관계를 파악하여 환경소양과 환경교수효능감이 환경교수실제에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 경남지역 유아교사를 대상으로 설문지를 사용하여 2019년 2월 11일부터 3월 15일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 회수된 설문지 277부를 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 통해 분석하였다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교사의 환경소양과 환경교수효능감, 환경교수실제는 전반적으로 중간 정도의 수준인 것으로 나타났으며, 교사의 일반적 특성에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 환경소양, 환경교수효능감, 환경교수실제는 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 환경교수실제에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변인은 환경교수효능감이었으며, 다음으로 국공립유치원 교사, 환경소양의 하위요인 중 행동, 지식의 순으로 나타났다. 따라서 효과적인 환경교육이 이루어지기 위해서는 유아교사의 높은 환경소양과 환경교수효능감을 갖는 것이 중요하다고 할 수 있다.

This study aimed to examine the trends of environmental literacy, environmental teaching efficacy beliefs, and environmental teaching practices based on general characteristics of early childhood teachers, and identify correlations among the three factors, and to analyze the effect of environmental literacy and environmental teaching efficacy beliefs on environmental teaching practice. Data were collected from February 11 to March 15, 2019, using questionnaires for early childhood teachers in Gyeongnam area. 277 collected questionnaires were analyzed through SPSS 25.0 program. The results of this study are as follows. First, the environmental literacy, environmental teaching efficacy beliefs, and environmental teaching practice of early childhood teachers were generally medium level, and there was a significant difference according to the general characteristics of teachers. Second, there were high positive correlations between environmental literacy, environmental teaching efficacy beliefs, and environmental teaching practice. Third, environmental teaching practice is influenced mostly by environmental teaching efficacy beliefs, followed by early childhood teachers, behavior, and knowledge of the environmental literacy sub-factors. Therefore, In order to make environmental education more effective, it is important to improve the environmental literacy and environmental teaching efficacy beliefs of early childhood teachers.
