동아시아 국가의 역내 수출구조와 경쟁력 변화 분석

The Structural Changes of East Asian Countries’ Export and Their Export Competitiveness in Northeast Asian Markets

1996년부터 2008년 자료를 분석한 결과에 따르면, 동아시아 국가들의 한중일 3국 시장 점유율은 전반적으로 확대되었다. 또한 한중일 3국의 전체적인 수입구조 변화에 따라 동아시아 국가들의 3국에 대한 수출구조에도 여러 변화가 발견되었다. 그러나 동아시아 국가들의 한중일 3국에 대한 수출이 여전히 일부산업에 집중되는 현상에는 변화가 없었다. 한중일 3국 주요 시장에서의 동아시아 국가들의 비교우위에도 많은 변화가 발견되었다. 분석대상 각국이 비교우위에 있는 산업의 구성에 있어서 동북아와 동남아국가 간 큰 차이가 발견되었으나, 한국과 일본의 비교에 있어서는 그 구성이 유사했다. 동아시아 국가들의 역내 비교우위지수를 국가 전체적인 차원에서 분석한 결과에 따르면, 일본의 경우 중국과 한국시장 모두에서 비교우위가 개선 중이며, 한국과 동남아국가들의 경우 일본시장에서는 비교우위가 개선 중이나 중국시장에서는 악화되었다. 또한 골토니언 회귀분석 결과에 따르면, 동아시아 국가들의 한중일 시장에서의 비교우위는 각국의 평균적인 비교우위를 중심으로 수렴하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 비교우위지수의 분포변화를 분석한 결과는 한중일 3국 시장에서 분석 대상 동아시아 각국의 수출특화는 시간이 지남에 따라 커질 것이라는 것을 시사하고 있다.

This study shows that overall East Asian countries’ market shares in Korean, Chinese, and Japanese market increased over about decade(1996∼2008). In the change of three countries’ import structure, East Asian countries’ export structure to them also changed a lot in the industry level (HS 2 digit). But there was no change in that their exports to the countries were concentrated in several industries such as electrical and electronic equipment (HS 85), and machine (HS 84). Reflecting the structure, East Asian exports to the three countries were also concentrated in the two industries in most countries considered. But different from the other countries, Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia mainly export mineral fuel and oil . Also, there was changes a lot in their comparative advantage(RCA) in the markets over the period. Focused on top 10 in China’s import industry, the composition of industries with high RCA is similar for Korea and Japan in the markets. However, the compositions for Northeast Asian countries are different from for Southeast Asian countries. In the country level, the RCAs are varied over time and across countries. Japan’s RCA improved in both Korean and Chinese market. Korea’s and Southeast countries’ RCA increased in Japanese market, but decreased in Chinese market over time. According to Goltonian regression, East Asia’s industry RCAs converged to each countries’ average RCA. The analysis of distribution of RCA in each country shows that for the countries considered, the degree of export specialization will get larger over time.
