Extraction and Analysis of Risk Driver in a Supply Chain based on Text Mining Method

공급사슬관리(SCM)의 도입은 비즈니스 최적화를 통한 비용 절감과 서비스 수준 향상 등 많은 이점을 제공해 주지만, 이의 복잡성과 생소함으로 인해 과거에는 경험하지 못한 새로운 형태의 리스크를 유발하기도 한다. 따라서 효과적/안정적인 공급사슬관리를 위해서는 리스크의 관리가 필수적이며, 이를 위해서는 리스크를 파악하고 측정하며 분류하는 작업이 선행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 공급사슬 상에서 리스크를 유발하는 요인을 도출하고 분석하였다. 비즈니스와 산업공학, 경영관리, 생산공학, 비즈니스재무 등 SCM 및 SCRM(Supply Chain Risk Management)과 관련된 5개 부문의 68개 주요 저널을 대상으로 텍스트마이닝 기법을 통해 총 133개의 리스크 유발요인을 도출하였다. 리스크 유발요인 도출은 공급사슬의 프로세스(R&D, 조달, 생산, 도매, 소매, 고객, 전체 공급사슬)와 일반적인 비즈니스 특성(품질, 비용, 배송, 환경, 유연성, 측정, 전략)으로 구성된 Cao의 2차원 프레임워크를 바탕으로 하였으며, 전문가집단의 브레인스토밍을 통해 총 62개의 원시 리스크 요인을 사용하였다. 그리고 GRI(Generalized Rule Induction)분석과 빈도분석을 통해 리스크 유발요인 간의 연관성과 연결 강도를 파악했을 뿐만 아니라, 시계열 특성을 고려한 요인별 출현빈도를 분석하였다.

An introduction of a SCM into a modern business environment brought many advantages. However, companies have been facing a new operating crisis due to the complicated SCM, and an advent of the SCM causes new types of risks which we have never experienced before. In a supply chain, a risk management strategy refers basically to identifying supply chain risk, a risk measurement, a risk classification by an impact level affecting stable supply chain operations, and the last step for developing action plans to mitigate or remove the risks. It normally involves assessing possibilities of the risks for a long-term, a middle-term and short-term plan, prioritizing the risk through a classification and analysis of an impact on a supply chain flexibility. In this study, a supply chain risk driver(SCRD), which is a source factor of risks in a supply chain, has been discussed. We first extracted and analyzed 133 SCRDs from 10,181 articles published during the past four decades, using a text mining technique, based on the two dimensions o f supply chain processes and general business attributes. And then we analyzed the SCRDs based on GRI(generalized rule induction). It is a very useful work, because it is clear that a risk cannot be managed if the cases are not clarified. Although we acknowledge that new risks may appear according to a rapidly changing business environment, it is not removed or mitigated if a direct or even for indirect causes are not cleared. Our work can give a correct answer to this agony.
