Analyzing the Relationship Between College Students’ Career Hope and the Age-Friendly Export Industry

Purpose - This study investigated the effects of dementia awareness and attitudes on career aspiration toward an aging-friendly industry for college students. Design/Methodology/Approach - A total of 201 students among the male and female college students in K and D cities who understood and voluntarily agreed to participate in the study were participated in the analysis, but the final 167 were excluded from the questionnaire, which was omitted or insufficiently answered. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 program. Findings - As a result of the study, the more dementia-related experiences, the higher the dementia recognition and dementia attitude scores, and significant effect on the career choice for the elderly-friendly industry appeared. Therefore, it is necessary to find an educational direction that can help college students to improve their professionalism and service quality into an aging-friendly industry. Research Implications - With the aging of the population, demand for related products and services is increasing, as well as demand for the elderly.In this situation, when the proportion of the aged-friendly industry is expected to increase in the overall industry, it can be used as a basic data to find a way to help students with career choices who are struggling with employment difficulties.
