Purpose - The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of various aspects of food security on economic performance through classification by income. In particular, the GFSI index was used to reflect the multidimensional aspects of food security through four categories of affordability, availability, quality and safety, and natural resources and resilience. Findings - First, the situation of food security presented in this study is rather helpful to the economic situation of the country. Second, although overall national agricultural policies and systems, and nutrition-related government guidelines and policies helped the country s economic growth, environmental impact through climate change and the use of natural resources are negative for economic growth. Research Implications - The growth of the agricultural sector is more effective in reducing poverty than growth in other sectors, and that food instability caused by poverty has a negative impact on agricultural markets and economic growth in each country. After all, expanding food security through access to high-quality nutritious foods is the most basic element for humans, and economic growth and job creation, poverty reduction, trade opportunity expansion, global food security and stability improvement, health and health care improvement.
