Information and communications technology has made rapid progress. Information and communication technologies have been induced by the change of life. Also, Information and communication technology have led to the digital economy. Internet banking, electronic commerce has become a major part of our economy. In this study compares the use of ICT status and policies. Japan and Korea is to compare countries. Korea and Japan to promote the ICT policy has been similar. Chapter Ⅱ analyzed the status of ICT use. Both Japan and South Korea are using the Internet is very active. The size of e-commerce is growing annually. Information and communication industry has contributed to economic growth. However, the international rating has been underestimated. Chapter Ⅲ analyzed the ICT policy. Korea and Japan have been pushing policies that are competitive. Ubiquitous policy began in the very same time. ICT paradigm shift has changed the policy direction. Green IT policies are also being promoted. Korea and Japan have different policy approaches. Korea is a very active. Therefore, a lot of government intervention. Japan has focused on solving social problems. Finding a solution is through ICT. Korea and Japan learn from each other a lot. For the prosperity of Japan and Korea policy coordination will be necessary.
